The Problems

  • External placement exposes valves to the elements, product theft, and vandalism. These valves often freeze requiring steam trucks to thaw them or replacement due to frost damage.

  • External sample trays, pails, and barrels offer limited spill containment and no freeze protection.

  • Spout systems or external risers offer no spill containment and are often full and frozen.

  • Truck unload spout has restricted access and is outside the secondary containment dike.

  • All valves are exposed to weather and require insulation which must be replaced every year or two.

  • External heater through a side box is ineffective as it is required to heat through multiple layers before any heat is transferred through to the tank contents.

  • A portion of the heater in this case will most certainly be below the top of the berm and therefore susceptible to damage should rainwater or tank contents fill the dike.

  • This system shown requires numerous costly field add-ons as well as skirting around the entire tank. Moving this particular tank with all of this add-on hardward and skirting will be a very expensive proposition.

The Enviro Vault Solution

Conventional Enviro Vault

  • The original Enviro Vault model introduced in 1996.

  • All valves are heated and protected inside the Enviro Vault.

  • Spill containment is inside the Enviro Vault.

Full Face Retrofit Enviro Vault

  • All valves and sample lines moved inside the Enviro Vault.

  • Retrofit costs minimized by only needing one hole in the tank wall.

  • Customer realizes all benefits of a standard Enviro Vault.

5 Sided Enviro Vault

  • Catadyne heater rated for class 1/div 1 area heats both processed fluid and the valves.

  • Suitable for smaller tanks.

  • Easy for installation on used tanks.

Bolt-In Enviro Vault

  • Easily retrofitted into any existing tank.

  • Can keep process fluid from freezing in tanks up to 1000bbls.

  • No on-site hot-work required.

  • Can be easily moved and reused between tanks.

Enviro Vault Equipped Rental Tanks

  • Valves protected from transportation damage.

  • Valves are protected from weather, theft, and vandalism.

  • Onsite spills contained.
